Where to find effective protein quantification products?

 

Measuring the concentration of protein sample is important to a lot of experiments, such as western blotting. In two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, too many or too little protein content will both bring serious effect to the result of your experiment. The BCA protein assay is a widely used method for colorimetric detection and quantification of total protein in a solution.

The Bradford assay is the fastest and easiest way to perform among the protein assays and uses about the same amount of protein as the Lowry assay.

Tips:

  1. If the sample contains high concentration of detergent (such as SDS, Triton X-100, Tween 20), it is better to choose CAT#KTD3001 Protein Quantification Kit (BCA Assay).
  2. If the sample contains high concentration of reductant (such as DTT, TCEP, BME), it is better to choose CAT#KTD3002 Protein Quantification Kit (Bradford Assay).
