Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is a protein that helps produce energy in the body. An LDH test measures the amount of LDH in the blood. LDH is expressed extensively in body tissues, such as blood cells and heart muscle. Because it is released during tissue damage, it is a marker of common injuries and disease such as heart failure.
You may need this test if your healthcare provider suspects you have had a heart attack or may have tissue damage or disease. If you’ve already been diagnosed with a specific disease, you may have this test so your provider can watch your condition and see whether your treatment is working. If the blood sample is contaminated or your red blood cells are broken, your LDH will be higher.

Through year of efforts, Abbkine research scientists have developed a series of assay kits for cell metabolism and that constitutes Abbkine CheKine™group. For detailed index, you are welcome to view at https://www.abbkine.com/?s=CheKine%E2%84%A2&post_type=product&submit=. In which we can see the detection kits of NAD/NADH, NADP/NADPH, superoxide dismutases (SOD), peroxidase (HRP) and glucose, but today we are going to introduce the test of LDH for you.
To more specific, the benefits of Abbkine Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) Assay Kit can be concluded as below:
- Optimized procedure for measuring Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) in various samples containing serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue/cell lysates culture medium, fermentation and other biological fluids.
- Simple and easy colorimetric assay.
- Quick and convenient.
- Long shelf life for 12 months.
